Lance Rae - EVP

Lance joined TLC PR more than 10 years ago and is greatly sought after for his talents as an event creator, designer and coordinator. He is a former journalist who brings an enthusiastic creative component to TLC client work, with experience in the political arena, as well as the arts, entertainment and multimedia. Lance previously served for several years at the City & County of Honolulu as a senior legislative aide. He has also worked in public relations at Aloha Airlines, and served as the entertainment and style editor for GUSTO Magazine. In 2010, he executed the first statewide Pedestrian Safety Month in the U.S. for the Hawaii State Department of Transportation, which resulted in national recognition and a prodigious amount of media coverage and awareness. Lance is an active participant and supporter of culture and the arts in Hawaii. He has served on the boards of Ballet Hawai‘i, ‘Ōhi‘a Productions, and the Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pageant. He works closely with the Hawaii International Film Festival and the Ohina-Short Film Showcase in supporting Hawaii filmmakers.

Her knowledge of Hawaii's key issues, history, and culture has helped lead the way for high-profile initiatives that touch audiences around the world, covering everything from public education to crisis and issues management. She is actively involved in the Air Force Civilian Advisory Council (AFCAC); the Hawaii Society of Business Professionals; Pacific Business News' Bizwomen Connect; Women in Renewable Energy; Hawaii Venture Capital Association; the University of Hawaii School of Travel Industry Management advisory board; and previously served as a Rotarian, member of Women in Aviation International, Sales & Marketing Executives International, Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association/Women in Lodging & Tourism; and the Native Hawaiian Hospitality Association and the Urban Land Institute;. She was also recently recognized among a select group of Hawaii businesswomen as a 2016 Women Who Mean Business Industry Leader in the field of Public Relations by Pacific Business News.
