Welcome to Driven to Stitches! Why that name? Because I'm crazy about sewing and have been since the age of ten, when I began making outfits for my Barbie dolls. I found that sewing was an excellent outlet for my creativity... Over the years, I progressed to larger articles of clothing and by the age of 15 was making nearly all my own clothes. Like most fabriholics, I am intrigued by texture and hand as much as color or print. So a collegian, I decided to learn about textiles and how the chemistry affected the fabric. Flat pattern design was part of the study program and I used the new knowledge in my designs. College classmates even recruited me to make alterations and some custom designs for them.
