FRENCHMAN BAY

Frenchman Bay Partners evolved from a series of stakeholder and planning meetings in 2010 and 2011. In August 2012, we started reaching out to municipalities in the Frenchman Bay watershed and garnering their support. In November 2012, we created the Frenchman Bay Plan. Each year, we hold an annual meeting to assess progress and decide upon next steps... We provide a forum in which local stakeholders can come together to address issues in a way that does not require top down intervention or legislative action, and have created a conservation plan for Frenchman Bay using the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation. The partners wish to work with any group on projects supporting the five conservation targets of the Frenchman Bay Plan: eelgrass, mudflats, subtidal benthic habitats, diadromous fish, and rockweed...
