HAWAII DEMENTIA

Ohana (Organization of Hawaii Dementia Care Professionals) mission is to: Promote awareness and overcoming stigma associated with dementia and the causes leading to delay in diagnosis or misdiagnosis. Provide education and training for health care professionals to recognize early symptoms and signs of dementia and make appropriate referrals for diagnosis. Provide education and training for health care professionals to recognize dementia from normal aging or other non-dementing medical illness.
