Dr. Beless is the current Medical Director at Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia in Sandy Springs wound care center in Atlanta and has been an active member of Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia since 1998. He previously served as Director at Crawford Long Emergency Department for over 13 years and is also the former Director of the Crawford Long Hospital Hyperbaric Medicine Unit. Dr. Beless was on faculty of Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine and is still active in lecturing for the Emory University Medical School and residency programs on hyperbaric medicine and advanced wound care therapy.

DAVE REICH - COO

Dave has over 30 years of technical diving, clinical nursing, and senior management experience in hyperbaric medicine and problem wound management. Dave served over 14 years in the United States Navy as a mixed-gas deep sea diver. After his military service he obtained his bachelor's degree in nursing in 1993. At the same time, he was functioning as a technician and eventual manager of the hyperbaric program for the University of California San Diego Medical Center (UCSD) until 1994 and spent the following 3 years working as a clinical nurse in the Critical Care Unit at UCSD. In 1997, Dave was recruited by Diversified Therapy Corporation (now Healogics) where he was an active member of the senior management team in the development of the company. Dave left Diversified in 2008 as the Sr. Vice President of Operations. He joined HyperbaRxs in 2009 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer.

David Schwegman - CEO

Dr. Schwegman graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1998, completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University in 2001 and served as the Chief Resident of Emergency Medicine from 2000-2001. He joined the faculty at Emory University and served as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine from 2001-2008. During that time he had numerous awards including "Emergency Medicine Teacher of the Year" in 2002, 2003, and 2005. In 2008, Dr. Schwegman practiced Emergency Medicine at Northside Hospital in Atlanta and was a Physician consultant to Welch Allyn. Dr. Schwegman joined Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia in 2009 and became the Chief Medical Director of Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia and the Chief Medical Officer of HyperbaRXs in 2010. He served as the founding co-chairman of the Save a Leg, Save a Life foundation Atlanta chapter from 2010-2013 and was featured in the July 2011 Atlanta Magazine as a "2011 Atlanta Top Doctor".

Debbie Dial

I have been in my new role as Program Manager at North Carolina Hyperbarics and Wound Care since October 2022. This center is known for its quality service provided by the community. I have been building a solid relationship in our community and with my team here at North Carolina Hyperbarics. The positive and healthy environment makes my current job unique and fulfilling, plus the opportunity to grow excites me to work harder and give my very best at work. Before taking this role, I spent the last thirteen years with UNC Southeastern Wound Center, where I honed my skills as a manager. I value the relationships that I formed with my staff and physicians. My background started in financial services with Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc., a registered securities broker/dealer. I completed the New York Institute of Finance program and Business Management in Baltimore, Maryland. My weakness is animals. I am an animal lover and want to bring them home with me. I have lived in the Robeson County area for 18 years. Before that, I lived in Baltimore, Maryland. However, I am a California native. I have three adult children. I have been enjoying my stay in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I especially like how friendly people are here and enjoy interacting with them daily.

Greg Brown

Greg has over 30 years of medical, diving, and senior management experience in the military and corporate industries. He served for over 19 years in the United States Army and National Guard. During this time, he became a certified Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT), and a trained Critical Care Paramedic. After his military service, he obtained his bachelor of science degree and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2018. His hyperbaric career started in 2009 working at a monoplace and then a 24/7 critical care multiplace hyperbaric facility. In 2017, Greg was recruited by The Duke Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Environmental Physiology where he helped coordinate research projects and published on topics including bacteria & viruses and diving equipment. Since then, he has held positions as Chamber Specialist, Safety Director, and Program Director. Currently, he is a UHMS Hyperbaric Facility Accreditation Surveyor and sits on the Board of Directors for the National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT). In 2023, he joined the Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia (HPG) as the SVP/Director of Biomedical Safety & Technical Services. He will be primarily supporting the day-to-day operations of all hyperbaric systems and equipment. In addition, he will monitor the training of new staff members and maintaining safety & regulatory compliance at all of HPG's locations.

Helen Gelly - President

Dr. Gelly has been involved in hyperbaric medicine and wound care since 1991. Past positions have included Medical Directorships at academic and community hyperbaric medicine and wound care programs. She started a non-hospital affiliated hyperbaric medicine center which was one of the first UHMS accredited centers. She has been actively involved in billing and reimbursement issues for both facilities and physicians. Until recently, she was the Medical Director of Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia, a group of physicians dedicated to the practice of hyperbaric medicine and wound healing, with 5 subspecialty boarded physicians in its membership. In addition to lecturing nationally on hyperbaric medicine and wound healing for many years, she was the president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the UHMS from 2005-2007. Currently, she serves as the Emeritus Medical Director of Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia, and as C.E.O. for HyperbaRXs.

John Ellis - CFO

John has spent over 32 years in public and private accounting. During his career, he has worked in a number of industries to include public accounting, financial services, banking, hospitality and now healthcare. He joined Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia in 2013 as Chief Financial Officer. He is a 1986 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas Tech University, a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.

Joni Hodgson

Dr. Hodgson graduated from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. She served in the Air Force as a Flight Surgeon at Vance Air Force Base where she met her husband, an Air Force pilot. She went on to complete a Family Medicine residency at David Grant Medical Center in Fairfield, CA. After residency, she completed a four year tour at Randolph Air Force Base before being hand-picked to join the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Program. Dr. Hodgson was the first graduate of the Program since it moved to the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. After fellowship, Dr. Hodgson, now a Lt. Col in the Air Force, became the Associate Program Medical Director of the Undersea & Hyperbarics Program at BAMC before she joined the 165th Airlift Wing in Savannah, GA as a seasoned Flight Surgeon. Dr. Hodgson joined the Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia in 2020 and will be taking over the Chief Medical officer position in December. She has two daughters (Alice and Claire) and her husband now works for Delta Air Lines.

Karl Moo Young

Dr. Karl James Moo Young, D.O., is a board-certified specialist in internal medicine. This provider has previously treated wound care patients for 13 years in Lumberton, North Carolina. He progressed to be the medical director of Southeastern Wound Healing Center UNC for the past 8 years. He graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989. He practiced medicine for a total of 34 years in North Carolina and Ohio.

Marina Wilder

Dr. Wilder is the Medical Director of Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia in Marietta. Prior to joining Hyperbaric Physicians of Georgia in 2010, Dr. Wilder worked at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Wellstar Kennestone Hospital's Pediatric ER, serving as Medical Director at both health systems. An avid proponent of Hyperbaric Medicine, she has trained with some of the nation's top experts in the field. Her fellowship research presentation to the UHMS was instrumental in the preservation and continuation of HBO fellowships throughout the country. Dr. Wilder's comprehensive approach to patient care has helped provide successful outcomes for our patients.
