ADVANCED DENTAL ARTS - Key Persons

Dr. Harrison Katz received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba in 2021. During his time there he was awarded the Henry Schein Ash-Arcona Award, given to the student who demonstrates a high level of respect, care, and management of pediatric dentistry. Prior to dental school, Harrison earned his Bachelor of Science degree, graduating with distinction from the University of Manitoba. Dr. Katz has always had a love of science and arts. Throughout his childhood, he could often be found painting, drawing or sculpting. Dentistry has been a perfect marrying of his creative side with his interest in healthcare and working one-on-one with patients. He is a strong believer in creating a safe, experienced, and honest environment to discuss oral health. Every person is unique, as are their treatment goals and smile dreams. Being able to work with patients to understand those goals and create a plan together is one of the best parts of his job. Outside of work, Dr. Katz can be found playing video games, enjoying time in his backyard, and, when he can, travelling the globe. He loves learning about other cultures, meeting new people, and tasting cuisines from around the world. Although he may not be the best chef himself, his palate is always up for an adventure!

Dr. Lanny Jacob completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) at the University of Manitoba in 1978. He is an active member of the Manitoba Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and is an alumni of the Pankey Institute of Advanced Dental Education. He has also taken on a mentorship role for those in the University of Manitoba Dentistry program, which he really enjoys. Dr. Jacob is dedicated to ensuring that he consistently delivers the best to his patients, and regularly updates his knowledge through dental education courses. Dr. Jacob has been married to his wife Marni since 1982 and together they have three accomplished children; two boys who work in the computer engineering field in Seattle, Washington, and a daughter who works in marketing. And they can't forget about Benny, their adorable blond Cocker Spaniel who is always so full of life. In his spare time, Dr. Jacob enjoys golfing, and loves to travel whenever he has the opportunity. Dr. Jacob has dedicated his professional career to providing his patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. He is happy to be able to offer you advanced, state of the art, comfortable and, of course, personalized dental care.

Dr. Leslie Pesun graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba in 2011. She has spent the last nine years providing comprehensive dental services to active duty members of the Canadian Armed Forces, while also finding time to work in private practice and balancing family life as a wife and mother of two kids. Her love of dentistry spans all areas, and she strives to provide the highest quality dentistry for every patient. Her ability to make every dental experience comfortable and positive is inspiring.
