His integrity, commitment to discipline and excellence, and ability to maximize assets have repeatedly resulted in outstanding performance during a variety of business cycles. Scott's natural external focus has positioned him as the face of the company to major customers and been a catalyst for developing growth-oriented cultures. Most recently, he was a Senior Vice President and General Manager for Element Financial Corp., where he developed a growth strategy for penetration into a construction market and entry into the transportation market, adding significant incremental volume in 18 months. Prior to this, as President and CEO of Premier Trailer Leasing, Scott positioned the company for growth and achieved a 40% increase in EBITDA through better management, more disciplined sales and marketing, and improved cost management. Scott also executed an acquisition that increased the size of the rental fleet by 50% to 21,000 assets and fully integrated that company onto Premier's platform in 90 days. Earlier in his career, Scott advanced through a series of progressively more senior positions in sales, marketing, and management at GE. He joined GE in 1991, serving in various GE Industrial and GE Capital business units, excelling in a sales management position, then becoming a national marketing manager, responsible for a $120 million group of products. From there, he became Vice President of Sales and Business Development-a role in which he achieved 23.5% compound annual growth in a flat market. After a brief departure from GE in 1999 to start up an offshore software development company, Scott returned to GE in 2002 as Vice President of National Accounts, where he received several global achievement awards and eventually became Senior Vice President of Leasing Solutions and Business Development, managing a $250MM lease portfolio.
