Blackheath Wanderers Sports Club was first established in 1886 and was founded by the choir from St Paul's Church, Deptford, forming the first football team on Blackheath Common. Throughout the 1920s the club called New Eltham home until we moved to our current site in Lee in 1947... We are a friendly local club, with seven junior football teams, an adult Saturday league team, a veterans football team, three competitive netball teams, and a tennis society, who play on our own grass and hard court surfaces... Blackheath Wanderers are a sports club with sports hire and hall hire facilities. It has a bar, kitchen and a function hall that has 150 capacity for party hire, found out more on our hall hire.
