CFMHAS was established in 2012 by Catherine Robinson and Rob Poole, supported by a grant from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board charitable funds. We have rapidly expanded since then. The UKRI/GCRF funded South Asia Self Harm Initiative (SASHI) was developed by CFMHAS. It is led by Catherine Robinson as Chief Investigator. Professor Robinson has moved to the University of Manchester where she is Directors an NIHR funded research unit. Rob Poole leads the Bangor University element of SASHI.
