Catawba Valley Healthcare is a non-profit healthcare provider offering a wide range of whole-person healthcare, integrating physical and mental health... CVH was established on January 1, 2005 when many services provided by Catawba County Mental Health were transferred to CVH (then known as Catawba Valley Behavioral Healthcare). We soon expanded into Burke County. We added a Peer Support program in 2011 and added integrated care in 2013. In 2015, we added substance use disorder services for adults incarcerated in Burke, Catawba, and Lincoln Counties... We serve people with Medicaid or Medicare, those who are uninsured and underinsured, those who are homeless, those without documentation, and those who are incarcerated or recently incarcerated. When needed, we help those we serve address non-medical issues that affect health outcomes, such as housing, food security, relationships, and employment. CVH is devoted to serving people who may face barriers receiving treatment elsewhere.
