GLENINA VETERINARY CLINIC - Key Persons
Caroline has worked in Glenina since 2002. In addition to scheduling appointments and reception duties, Caroline deals with administration and food merchandise for the practice. She is a great lover of animals and has a rescue dog named Holly.
Colm qualified from University College Dublin in 2004 with an honours degree. Colm worked in mixed practice for 2 years in Native Leitrim, followed by 6 Months as a racecourse Vet in Melbourne, Australia. Colm has been as member of the Glenina team since 2006 and joined as a practice partner in 2011. Colm has a keen interest in farm animal practice, in particular herd health and pet health. His hobbies include GAA, rugby and looking after his children.
Danielle is a Galway native who qualified from Athlone Institute of Technology with an Honours Degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2021.
From Ballinrobe in Mayo, Eugene qualified with an Honours Degree from UCD in 2015.
Eugene has worked in mixed practice in Fermanagh and Ballina before coming to Glenina. He has a strong interest in large animal medicine as well as Mayo football!
Fára is from Galway and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from AIT in December 2020. She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and graduated from TUS in October 2021.
Joe qualified in Dublin in 1983. After graduation he worked for a number of years in mixed practice in Ballina and Derry. Following this he spent a year in a small animal hospital in Wales. He joined Glenina Veterinary Clinic in 1986. Joe has a special interest in Ophthalmology, Urogenital surgery and Exotic pets. He has a lifelong association with Galway animal welfare groups.
Karl qualified in 2000 from UCD with honours. He worked for a short time in Sweden and Sligo before joining the Glenina team in 2002. Karl became a practice partner in 2008. He has a particular interest in Feline Medicine.
Liz graduated from UCD in 2006 - once qualified, she moved to California and worked on large dairy farms. She returned to Ireland and worked in a large animal practice.
Philip qualified in Dublin in 1983. He worked in mixed practices in Longford, Derry and Portadown. He also spent a year in a small animal practice in Belfast. Philip joined Joe O' Donnell in Galway in 1992. Philip specialises in small animal orthopaedics, theriogeniology and homeopathy. He recently opened the First Equine hospital and AI centre in the west at Rockmount, Claregalway.
Coming from a farming background Roisin joined us in 2003. She worked previously in a Pharmacy. She has a keen interest in Pedigree Breeding. In addition to large animal TB & brucellosis queries, Roisin looks after merchandise and stock control for the practice along with working on reception and taking care of clients.
A Galway native from Castlegar, Ronad qualified from UCD in 2006. She then spent 15 months in mixed practice in Connemara. After that She travelled to Australia and spent 4 years working in Sydney. She then moved to London and worked in small animal practice for 5 years. She then moved to Dublin again practicing small animal veterinary.
