GRAY PARTNERSHIP - Key Persons

MILLER FUN HOUSE

Job Titles:
  • ALBERTA, CANADA
This 12,000 sq. ft. residence is perched atop a foothill of the Canadian Rockies. The family's strong connection to the site, their love of the English Arts and Crafts style, and their desire for an appropriate backdrop for their collection of antique furniture informed the design. The home has two faces. The front, facing east onto a courtyard nestled into the foothill, provides a sense of containment and protection against the severe Alberta weather. The west face opens to the spectacular view of the mountains, with extensive glass, linear arrangement of rooms, and angling of the wings to ensure a view from every major space of the house.
