Beth Schneider, Board President, is responsible for overseeing the Board of Trustees. She is the Associate Head of School at Mary McDowell Friends School in Brooklyn, NY. In her time at MMFS, she has worked in partnership with the administration to develop a program for children with learning disabilities, growing the school from a community of sixty students ages five through fifth grade to the current enrollment of 383 students ages five through twelfth grade. Beth has also been on the Commission of the New York State Association of Independent Schools and served as a chair on numerous NYSAIS accreditation visits. With over thirty years of experience working in independent schools in Brooklyn, she is delighted to be part of the Greene Hill School community.

Carlos is a mentor for Create, an organization that supports young adults in a temporary homeless facility. He and his wife Marleny have two children at GHS, Caleb in the 5s and Mila in the 7s.

Rachael Burton, Member of the Board, is currently attending CUNY School of Law. Before that, she was involved with Greene Hill School for 11 years, first as a volunteer and then as the first Development Director. Significant achievements included instituting the Annual Appeal program including implementing and maintaining the donor database. Rachael also co-chaired, with the Lower School Director, the successful NYSAIS Accreditation process. Before coming to Greene Hill, Rachael taught 4th grade and 7th grade in the NYC public school system. Her son Max was part of the first graduating class at GHS in 2017.

Tatesha Clark, Member of the Board, is a Brooklyn native and has spent the last fourteen years inside New York City schools. A mother, activist, and writer, Tatesha has spent most of her career working with families, faculty, and administrators on how to bring anti-racist practices into their school community. A classroom teacher for many years, Tatesha has a passion for building equity into the daily curriculum. She has presented on this topic as well as other facets of race, equity, and inclusion at both local and national conferences. Tatesha currently serves as Director of Diversity and Equity at Mary McDowell Friends School supporting parents, faculty, board members, administrators and staff on how to talk to children about race and racism. She also works with these constituents on examining their own racial identities, and how to develop and apply an anti-bias lens to their work in and outside of schools.
