MADISON SAVOYARDS

The Madison Savoyards, Ltd. began in 1963 with a production of Gilbert & Sullivan's Iolanthe. Since then, the Savoyards have produced at least one Gilbert and Sullivan opera annually (except for 2018 when Die Fledermaus was performed and 2020 when the planned production was cancelled because of COVID19). All of the Gilbert & Sullivan operas have been performed at least once... The Madison Savoyards began in 1963 with a production of Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe, and we annually present a staged production of a Gilbert and Sullivan or other light opera. Our fully-staged productions with live orchestra provide performance opportunities for young artists, community members, and emerging professionals, through English-language comic operas that are fun for audiences of all ages.Madison Savoyards welcomes and includes all people regardless of age, race, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, or religion.
