Andrew L. Gibaut

Andrew L. Gibaut graduated from John F. Kennedy University and was licensed to practice law in California in 2013. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, he graduated from San Francisco State University and received his Bachelors of Science Degree with an emphasis in Political Science. Immediately after being admitted to the California State Bar, Andrew dedicated his time to volunteering for the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley assisting those in need of representation in the areas of divorce, domestic violence, custody matters, and paternity issues. Prior to shifting his practice to Estate Planning, Andrew focused his practice on family law litigation, including divorce, child and spousal support issues, and custody and visitation. This experience allowed him to become familiar and accustom to dealing with complex family law and a variety of legal issues. After four successful years in family law litigation, Andrew shifted his practice focus to his passion of Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, Probate, and Trust Administration. Andrew has represented clients in all manner of legal disputes, including Wills and Trust creation, Trust Administration, and Probates. He has always dedicated his efforts to ensure that he represents all of his clients with excellence, compassion, and the knowledge of the law.

Jonathan Fuller

Jonathan Fuller is a born and raised Californian. He was born in Fallbrook and raised in Temecula. In 2010, Jonathan graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in History. Jonathan was fortunate to be able to participate in the student exchange program at Oxford University in England with New College. In 2013, Jonathan graduated from California Western School of Law and became licensed to practice law the same year. In the beginning of Jonathan's legal career, he worked in Riverside County in multiple areas of law, including civil litigation and probate. In 2017, Jonathan moved to Santa Barbara and began practicing family law in Ventura, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara Counties. In 2021, Jonathan moved to Monterey and began practicing family law in Monterey County. In 2022, Jonathan started at RSC Law Group and has continued to focus his practice in family law. Jonathan brings to the firm his diverse legal experiences of litigating different areas of law throughout California. Lisa Thornton

Lisa Thornton earned her law degree from Trinity Law School where she was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Procedure. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2016, after spending a summer studying Human Rights Law at the Institute for International Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. Lisa is a member of the Orange and Monterey County Bar Associations and was President of Trinity‘s Federalist Society. Ms. Thornton was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children) and continues her advocacy for foster youth by sitting on the Board of the Eddie Nash Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower foster youth, through collaborative efforts with community partners and creative programming, with the essential skills they need to live independent, productive lives once they are emancipated. Lisa is a strong advocate for her clients, and ever mindful of their best interests, including protecting their assets, and compassion for their children. "I have always had a desire to help people when they need it the most. That is the very mission of R.S.C. Law Group, Inc." Prior to her work at RSC Law Group, Lisa thrived as a Manager of Programs and Development at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where she managed multiple professional committees made up of land-use attorneys, architects, and land developers, to advance directives of the company's mission which is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. Additionally, Lisa was a Director at United Way where she directed committees to envision a community where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, financial stability, and healthy lives. Lisa has 20 years of experience in planning and logistics, and has volunteered in community activities involving preserving the family unit and community. "Clients are experiencing a loss and it is my job to assist them in letting go of the past and moving forward toward a positive future. My personal mission is to encourage and advocate for them through their divorce and custody issues and design strategies for them to come out positive on the other side."

Lucy Coetzee

At approximately 3 month's old, Lucy was rescued from the Pet friends Animal shelter in Hollister by the Coetzee family in 2012. She joined the RSC Law Group office staff in the fall of 2018 to serve as a therapy and guard dog for our staff and clients. She may bark occasionally at new visitors, but she's a total scaredy-cat. Lucy excels at napping on people's feet, tail wagging and giving kisses. Although people have speculated that she is anything from Irish Wolfhound to black lab, all we know if she is a one of a kind. Her hobbies include chasing squirrels, digging for gophers, and fishing for seaweed at the beach.

Michael Ullom

Michael Ullom is a graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2009. Prior to that, Michael worked at Verizon Wireless and taught English overseas in Japan. Michael was admitted to his first bar in 2009 in Washington State, where he worked representing clients in evictions, family law, criminal defense, and in the representation of two municipalities in prosecution and in drafting legislation. Michael eventually met his spouse and moved to California in the summer of 2011. Michael took the California Bar in February of 2012 and became licensed in California on June 1st, 2012. For seven years, he ran his own practice in family law, criminal defense, and evictions, while co-teaching clinics at the Monterey College of Law. Michael also worked to get the Restraining Order Workshop founded at the Monterey College of Law, the first low-cost resource in Monterey County that could give legal advice to victims of intimate partner violence, stalking and harassment. In June of 2019, his prior practice received a coveted "People Love Us on Yelp" award. After two years overseas as part of his wife's work in Vienna, Austria, Michael returned to the practice of law in October of 2021. He continues to practice with drive and devotion on behalf of the R.S.C. Law Group's in protecting children, resolving difficulties via negotiation and going to trial as needed to represent the interests of our clients. Michael's goal in practice is to advise clients of the standards of family law and the costs of different avenues of litigation and likelihood of success, so that you can choose the path you wish to proceed with knowledge and foresight.

Rory S. Coetzee

Rory S. Coetzee graduated from Trinity Law School in 2008 and was licensed to practice law in California in December of that same year. While at Trinity Law School, he participated in the school's Moot Court program, was the recipient of the Dean's Scholarship, and was awarded the prestigious Amjur Award for academic excellence in the area of Criminal Procedure. He was also elected to serve as a representative on the student body counsel. A native of South Africa, Mr. Coetzee immigrated to the United States in 1998 and attended Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas where he graduated with Cum Laude honors and received a Bachelors of Science Degree with an emphasis in both Political Science and Paralegal Studies. Prior to founding R.S.C. Law Group, Mr. Coetzee worked for five years as a senior associate attorney at The Law Firm of J. Hector Moreno, Jr. & Associates, one of the most prestigious and preeminent family law firms in San Jose, California. During Mr. Coetzee's time at The Law Firm of J. Hector Moreno, Jr. & Associates, he focused his practice on high-conflict family law litigation, which allowed him to become familiar and accustom to dealing with the most complex issues in the family law arena. Prior to that, and while still in law school, Mr. Coetzee spent two years serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Robert Monarch of the Orange County Superior Court. He also held an externship position with the Orange County District Attorney's office. While Mr. Coetzee's practice is now focused primarily on family law matters, he has also successfully represented clients in the areas of business litigation, real estate litigation, and personal injury litigation. Mr. Coetzee has represented clients in all manner of legal disputes, and has always dedicated his efforts to ensure that he represents all of his clients with excellence, compassion and knowledge of the law.
