Abraham V. Thomas - Founder

Abraham V. Thomas is the Founder and President of Hope Foundation. By profession, he works as a Senior Chemist for Chartwell Pharmaceuticals at Congers, New York. While he was living across various parts of India, his direct encounters with the tragic circumstances of the helpless led him to commit his life towards the care of widows and orphans. He is deeply passionate about transforming the lives of the children at our children's homes and the widows that we assist.

Anna Mosca

Anna Mosca is a manager of content engineers at LexisNexis (a Reed Elsevier company). She traveled to India on business and fell in love with the country and its people. She joined the Hope Foundation Board in 2011, and since then has worked in different functional areas, from leading various projects to improve the living conditions of the children at Kolar, to fundraising initiatives and social media strategy.

Jenny L. Thomas

Job Titles:
  • Senior Accountant at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York
Jenny Thomas is a Senior Accountant at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of New Jersey. Prior to working at the Fed, she was a senior auditor at KPMG. She assists in preparing the monthly and annual financial statements for the foundation in the US and is excited to be a part of an organization that truly cares for the orphan kids as one of their own.

Princy Mammen

Princy Mammen worked as a Staff Accountant at Dolce International prior to becoming a stay at home mom. She completed her Masters in Accounting from Liberty University and also holds a bachelors in Computer Science from University of Texas at Dallas. She is a wife and a mother of three young children and cherishes the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of less fortunate children. Princy supports the marketing and fundraising efforts of Hope Foundation. Princy assumes an active role in the youth ministries at her local church and takes a special interest in singing and leading worship.

Rani Cherian

Job Titles:

Rani Cherian is a Grant Writer/ Development Associate at Covenant House New Jersey. She holds a Master's Degree in International Relations from Northeastern University. Rani assists Hope Foundation (HF) in researching potential funders, drafting grant proposals, and cultivating relationships with grantors. She also helps in keeping track of monthly donations and works with volunteers to manage the HF Instagram page, data collection, and more. Rani is extremely passionate about the issues of children, women's rights, and human trafficking, and feels blessed to be a part of Hope Foundation's work in making a difference in the lives of orphaned children and women in need in India.

Scott Mejia

Scott Mejia is a project accountant at Schneider Electric. Scott is also an ordained Deacon at Beth Israel Messianic Congregation in New Jersey. He has traveled to numerous nations preaching the gospel and teaching the Word of God. As one of the treasurers for Hope Foundation, his main duties entail the day to day financial activities along with raising support for Kolar Children's Home.

Thomson A. Valliyakalayil

Thomson Valliyakalayil currently works at Barclays, and has completed his MBA from the Stern School of Business. Thomson focuses on operational projects for Hope Foundation and remembers his two visits to Kolar Children's Home fondly. Thomson lives near New York with his wife Natalia, and when given the opportunity, loves chatting on Skype with the children at Kolar Children's Home and shouting "Hello Uncle, Hello Auntie" back at them.

Varghese Philip

Varghese Philip is a Senior Pastor of Indian Pentecostal Church of God, Karnataka State and has a PhD from South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies. He majored in pastoral counselling and his dissertation topic is "Urban Stress Factors in Adolescents". He is the senior pastor at Gilgal Worship Centre, Bangalore, the founder of Shalom Counselling Centre, one of the founding trustees of Hope Foundation and a regional director of Kolar Children's Home.
