CAROL CURRAN - CEO, Founder, President

Both a successful entrepreneur and champion for women in business, Carol has dedicated her time and resources to connect women and encourage them to chase their dreams. After selling an already flourishing business and going public, Carol, through self-funding formed Phoenix Data Corporation in 2001 to continue to enhance her analytics and machine learning and software development, and realizing her firm's need in niche industries, she worked with customers to develop and accumulate numerous contracts based on their specific needs for the State of Indiana, The United States Department of Defense, Health care and logistics businesses, utilizing cybersecurity and cloud along with other Federal and State agencies, (as well as the private sector) including their Fed Ramp/Red Rack certifications. In addition to her professional work, Carol is highly involved with many boards and multiple health associations in Indianapolis. She is the past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Indianapolis chapter, the current president of the NAWBO Foundation and serves as an advisory board member for Enterprising Women. Carol also finds time to serve as a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Women in Defense and has served on the National Advisory Board Key4 Women as part of Key Corp's focus on women in business. She also serves on the IU Advisory Board/School of Engineering & Technology. Most recently, Carol received a 20-year Honorary Award for Technology from Enterprising Women. Outside of work and serving on multiple boards, Carol focuses on her family and enjoys sailing, boating, skiing, and dancing. Carol stands by her core values of "courage, commitment, compassion, and character", and displays those traits to everyone she does business with. Her commitment to her employees is foremost and she serves as a tireless advocate for women in business, as well as women everywhere serving as inspiration for others. Carol is the Founder/President/CEO of Phoenix Data Corporation, Phoenix My Med Solutions, Phoenix Health Products.

David Smith

David Smith, directs and leads multiple lines of business at Phoenix Data Corporation and oversees the day-to-day administrative and operational functions. In 2021, David was promoted to Vice President of Operations/COO. Considered an industry pioneer and having been published in Forbes, Smith has high-level accomplishments that include a strategic rollout of pharmaceutical/manufacturing print programs for Eli Lilly and developing a cost containment program for BCBS. Smith's portfolio also includes working for large corporations that include the United States Air Force, Lockheed Martin, Anthem and Xerox. Alongside his professional accomplishments, Smith is continually giving back and mentoring students to understand and utilize their strengths. Smith holds a BS in marketing from Indiana Wesleyan University and is certified in Six Sigma.

SYDNEY PARKS

Sydney Parks joined Phoenix Data Corporation in 2021 as the Payroll and Accounting Specialist to assist in our system conversion initiatives and growth programs. In May of 2022 Sydney was promoted to Human Resources Director. Before joining the Phoenix Data Corporation team, Sydney served as Business Office Manager, Payroll Administrator and other functions for companies involved in the government contracting sector. She has six years of experience in payroll and billing systems conversions along with being a skilled leader in matrixed teams delivering consistent positive outcome for both the company and its employees. Growing up an Air Force Brat traveling the globe, Sydney developed a fondness for sandy beaches and salt air. She took a leap of faith with her husband and relocated to Florida in 2019. Outside of office hours, Sydney and her husband can be found on the beach, sometimes even with their two dogs. In 2022, Sydney and her husband welcomed their first child. Sydney earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Harding University and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. Sydney also holds the Costpoint Professional Certification with Labor, Leave, and Payroll.

VICKIE MILLER

After majoring in accounting at Ball State, Vickie joined Phoenix Data Corporation (then known as Curran Data) in 1989 as an Administrative Assistant and Accounting Manager. In 1995 Vickie decided to pursue a career outside of Phoenix Data Corporation and began serving as an accountant for a property management firm. In 2002, Vickie took on additional responsibilities when she and her husband took on a business venture while she continued her role as an accountant at the property management firm. Vickie returned to Phoenix Data Corporation in 2009 as the Secretary/Treasurer with additional responsibilities including accounting and treasurer. In 2022, Vickie was promoted to Vice President/Controller/Corporate Secretary. Vickie is busy as a mother of three, a business owner, and a valued member of the Leadership Team at Phoenix Data Corporation.
