Brad joined Rix Cars as the Fleet Manager in early 2007, after an 8 month stint as the Production Manager at I-Glass producing switchable glass. Prior to that, Brad served 8 years in the Royal Australian Navy as a Communications & Information Systems Sailor. His time in the Navy took him to many places around the world, and as such given him many experiences that many people never get exposure to. As the Fleet Manager of Avis, Brad is responsible for ensuring all vehicles that are booked are at the location ready for the customer. He also has to make sure that all of the vehicles in the fleet are mechanically in good condition, as well as taking care of any damage that may have occurred with the vehicles. Brad loves the challenge of the fast paced and ever changing work environment that Avis presents, having to keep an eye on over 500 vehicles and 10 rental agencies throughout Western Victoria.

Managing Director for Rix Cars, Darren oversees all operations within the business as well as providing the group with strategic direction and motivation. Darren has been self-employed for 26 years, starting his first business in 1993. With a background in small business operations and past experience in operating service stations Darren purchased the Avis Ballarat Franchise in 1997, starting with a humble fleet of just 5 vehicles. Since 1997, Darren has been able to expand the Ballarat franchise into greater Western Victoria. We now have agencies in 10 other locations in Victoria spanning from Hamilton and Horsham out west, to Bendigo in the north and as far as Caroline Springs in the east, all offering the same great Avis service that we pride ourselves on in Ballarat. In 2015, Darren took on board the budget franchise, currently running two great locations in Ballarat and Bendigo. Alongside running the day to day operations at Rix Cars, Darren is also on the board of the Avis Franchisees Association and a founding and current chairman for the Ballan + District Community Bank. Darren as well maintains a strong connection to his local community through the Bungaree Football Club, he was awarded life membership to the club in 2008, due to an astounding amount of commitment and efforts in volunteering at the club.
