TONBRIDGE SCOUTS

Happy St George's Day!! We are very excited to be welcoming everyone back for our St George's Day Parade tomorrow at 2pm on the Castle Lawn! #tonbridgescouts #KentScouts #SkillsForLife... Scouting first started in Tonbridge in 1907, with the formation of the 1st Tonbridge Scout Group. The District now has eleven Groups, covering Tonbridge itself, plus surrounding towns and villages including Hadlow, Leigh, Hildenborough, Five Oak Green, Paddock Wood and East Peckham... There are Land Scouts, RAF Recognised Air Scouts and Royal Navy Recognised Sea Scouts. There is also an award winning Scout and Guide Band. The District has Explorer Units in Tonbridge, Paddock Wood (Low Weald) and Hildenborough, and a Scout Network in Tonbridge. There is also a dynamic Scout Active Support Unit. There are no religious, racial or cultural barriers to membership. Adult Leaders are trained and DBS (formerly known as CRB) checked to ensure the highest standard of safety, whilst ensuring the fundamentals..
