Brian Heffernan

Brian, a native of Trim, is the managing director of a financial advisory firm in Trim. He's been involved with many local voluntary groups over the years, with his association with Trim Tidy Towns going back over 20 years. He has developed a keen interest in Sustainable Development.

Brian Marron - Treasurer

Brian Marron grew up in Trim. He was inspired to develop a community-owned hydropower station having stumbled upon an old paper about locating one outside Trim. He has a master's in Human Ecology and his thesis focused on Ireland's community renewable energy policy. He works in the field of climate justice policy.

David Brady

David is from Trim, where he lives with his family, and he has run a bar for twenty years. He has been involved in several local charities, and events promoting the town. He is also a landlord and is interested in making his properties more sustainable for the future.

David Gorey

Job Titles:

David Gorey (BAPA) is part of the management team at StockHouse Restaurant, vice-chairperson of local tourism organisation Trim Tourism Network, and PRO of Trim SEC. David plays a key role in marketing at StockHouse Restaurant and volunteers with Trim Tourism Network and Trim SEC to give something back to his local community.

Justyna Doherty

Justyna Doherty is Trim Family Resource Centre Coordinator. She joined Trim FRC in 2016 as a Community Development and Family Support Worker, and managed the running of women's programmes, youth clubs, intercultural family events, parenting courses. Originally from Poland, Justyna enjoys meeting new people and getting to know Irish culture with her favourite part being Irish trad music.

Melanie Steinhardt

Melanie moved to Ireland from New York in 2019. Her first visit to Ireland started with Trim's Haymaking Festival! She has a background in non-profit fundraising and communications, charity Boards, and experience in urban farming.

Michael Hughes

Ronan Moore

Job Titles:
  • Chairman of the Steering Committee
Ronan is a local councillor for the Social Democrats in the Trim district. He is a member of a county Climate Action and Environmental Strategic Policy Committee and the cross-party Climate Action Forum. He has a Masters in Sustainable Development and has previously worked in overseas development.

Sarah Hunt

Sarah moved to Trim in 2019 and joined Trim SEC's Steering Committee to contribute to a more sustainable, resilient future for the town. Sarah has previously volunteered with domestic violence and educational charities and is looking forward to helping Trim become an even better place to live.

Susan Ryan

Susan works for a Financial Services Provider, and co-chairs the Sustainable Futures Network within her place of employment. In 2020, Susan completed the NWG Climate Change Transformation Programme with the University of Edinburgh Business School and is passionate about driving simple, yet effective change in her workplace, family and community. Susan grew up in an eco-conscious household in Scotland, and has lived in Trim since 2013.
