VERTICE

Vertice is built using the Unity3D gaming engine. Unity3D is a mature platform for developing 3D games, and, is capable of targeting mobile devices, augmented and virtual reality devices, televisions, and gaming consoles... Vertice is not a collection management system. Instead, it is positioned to consume - from existing catalogues - a subset of the descriptive, structural, and administrative metadata that is relevant to understanding an artefact's context, provenance, and technical details. This data populates Vertice's metadata model, which Vertice uses to organise and describe the artefacts that have been imported into the system... Vertice is a platform that enables cultural institutions and their visitors to collate and interact with digitised and born-digital 3D objects. Vertice was developed using the gaming engine Unity to provide functionality that supports the purposeful arrangement, contextualisation, and presentation of digital artefacts.
