Miss Parker has been the Designated Provision lead and SENDCo/Inclusion lead since September 2016
Miss Parker has taught in both secondary and primary settings, teaching a range of children both mainstream and those children with special educational needs. She has also gained a masters in SEN and inclusion (specialising in ASD) and has completed the national SENDCo qualification.
Mr Burgess started at Woolston CP as Headteacher in January 2017.
Mr Burgess started his teaching career in Kirkby and taught at Millbrook Community Primary School for three years. He then moved to Appleton Thorn Community Primary School in Warrington where he worked as a teacher for three years. He was then promoted to Deputy and held this post for three years before taking up the post of Headteacher in September 2011. During Mr Burgess' time at Appleton Thorn the school went from good to outstanding and was twice rated in the top 200 schools in the country (for KS2 results) whilst he was headteacher. The school was also recognised locally for its strong inclusive practice and Mr Burgess has continued with this approach at Woolston CP School.
