Dr Ben BVSc

Dr Ben joined the staff at Arundel Plaza Veterinary Clinic in April 2010. A Queensland Uni graduate , Ben has worked in Australia and overseas in small animal and mixed animal veterinary clinics. Ben has developed advanced skills in equine reproduction having worked in Ireland and Australia honing these skills. Ben has a certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture and has a special interest in small animal emergency care and preventative animal health. Ben has 2 horses and his Jack Russell Terrier(ist) cross, Merry. In his spare time Ben can be found riding his horse (he is hoping to start some dressage competition), playing soccer, making saddles, tending his vegetable garden or bike riding with his kids.

Dr Cary MacDonald

Cary graduated from the University of Queensland, School of Veterinary Science with honors in 1999. Cary started out in Mackay, as a mixed animal veterinarian working with many different species, including exotic pets and wildlife. He joined the team at Arundel Plaza in 2004 and since then has become a partner in the business. He enjoys many aspects of veterinary science and in particular being involved in cementing the bond between us and our pets. Cary has many pets, 17 year old Honey a short haired domestic cat, rescued from the cane fields of Mackay, and 4 chickens, Salt, Pepper, Marshmallow, Caramel

Dr Monique Rayfield

Monique joined the team in early 2013. Monique's veterinary experience and well rounded approach to life is a great compliment to the practice. She has been a vet for 25 years, and is still fascinated by the unique furry and feathered friends she gets to meet. Monique has a soft spot for Burmese cats & Golden Retrievers and new friend Tulip the Burmese cat keeps her entertained. When she is not at the clinic, she looks after her 2 sons and enjoys reading classic fiction, walking and a good coffee.

Jen Vidal

Jen moved to Sydney from the UK in 2005, this is when she began her Vet Nursing career. Jen has always loved animals and particularly loves Australian wildlife. Jen fell in love with the Gold Coast whilst backpacking back in 2005, 9 years on she has finally made the much awaited move from Sydney and has joined our team here at Arundel Plaza Vet Clinic. Jennifer along with her husband Will, have a beautiful cat called Snail and are lucky to share their garden with many native species of bird.

Meagan Williams

Meagan joined our team part time in 2008 and is passionate in all aspects of veterinary nursing. Changing careers from Natural Therapies to Veterinary Nursing in 1999 she then went abroad to the UK to work for the Blue Cross (an animal welfare organisation) for 2 years and then onto China to to work with the Moon Bears Rescue and Rehabilitaion for Animals Asia. Upon returning to Australia, Meagan managed "Aquadog" a fitness, physiotherapy and rehabiliation swimming pool for dogs. Meagan has 2 beautiful girls and a beautiful dog - Bindi (Ridgeback X).
