CRUSOE COLLEGE - Key Persons
Bree joined Crusoe College at the beginning of 2023. Her main role is to work with the Community Leaders to build inclusive learning communities for all Crusoe students to thrive. Bree is also a passionate teacher of Literacy and Physical Education.
Ryan joined the Crusoe College team in 2024 as an Engagement Leader. He co-ordinates the schools advisory program and Hands on Learning program. He has a passion for student wellbeing and engagement and will be working closely with staff to ensure the Berry Street Education Model is embedded into daily practice.

Harry is one of our Learning Specialists. His role in the school is to work particularly with the maths teaching staff to strengthen their pedagogical knowledge and understanding. He is passionate about supporting students to develop their numeracy skills and knowledge.
Jason has been at Crusoe College since 2021 as a Maths/Science teacher, Advisory Coordinator and Assistant Community Leader. As the Engagement Leader responsible for Transitions and Pathways, Jason coordinates our careers counselling and work experience while working with the Headstart team and Geared 4 careers.

Joel McLean is in the role of Wellbeing Leader. As an educator my job is to inspire, motivate, encourage and guide students, by providing a safe and inclusive environment which promotes resilience, and nurtures individualism. To educate students socially, emotionally and cognitively so they can be confident and independent life-long learners.

Matthew joined the college in 2019, he co-ordinates the college's classroom and community portfolio, including the extension and enrichment programs. Matthew leads the literacy intervention program at the College and is passionate about providing a supportive learning environment for all students.

Michael has joined the college in 2024 as Assistant Principal: Learning and Teaching. In his role, Michael will lead the learning and teaching efforts across the college. With a focus on fostering an environment of academic excellence, Michael will work closely with students, teachers, and staff to enhance the education experiences for all.
Sam has been in the role of Leading Teacher since January 2009. In his role as the Yates Engagement Leader he co-ordinates the college's student voice and agency programs, whole school assemblies and is a leader in implementing Restorative Practices across the school.
Simon is our Principal at Crusoe College. He is very focused on building a learning culture where all students are striving to do their best in conjunction with their teachers and the support staff. "We are building a team with the breadth and depth of expertise that enables us to work with all types of students and see them bring out the best in themselves".

Tom is one of our Learning Specialists. His role is to support teachers in improving their classroom practice and therefore improving student outcomes. Tom has a focus on embedding Professional Learning Communities at the College and has a particular passion for trauma-informed practice and educational equity.
