Dr. Douglas Kornreich, President and Medical Director of Manhattan Anesthesia Consultants, has specialized in ambulatory anesthesiology since 2001. Dr. Kornreich and his associates at MAC utilize a variety of state-of-the-art anesthetic techniques including Total Intra-Venous Anesthesia (TIVA). This TIVA technique is custom tailored for each patient to safely achieve optimal results including minimizing or avoiding the risk of malignant hyperthermia and post-operative nausea and vomiting, and maximizing patient comfort and surgical exposure. MAC's TIVA provides a rapid emergence, even in the setting of lengthy procedure times, which can decrease post-operative nursing costs.
