Dr. Gabay takes great pride in helping his patients achieve optimal oral health. He understands that dental visits are not always easy for everyone, which is why he encourages any new patient considering Portrait Dental to come in for a meet and greet first. Touring the office and familiarizing yourself with a provider before an exam or treatment can go a long way to help relieve the fear of the unknown.
Dr. Gabay is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, particularly dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and root canal treatment.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his three kids.
Dr. Kostantina Abate graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in New York City. Having been chosen into the Honours in Aesthetics program in her final year, she graduated with a clinical concentration in cosmetic dentistry. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and is working towards her accreditation.
Dr. Abate firmly believes in giving back, and has been lucky enough to travel to countries that do not have access to dental care and help provide much needed care. She travelled to Grenada, West Indies, where she was able to help prevent tooth decay in over 14,000 children by placing sealants and educating them in proper oral hygiene. She also travelled to Granada, Nicaragua where she helped provide an under serviced community get dental care in the areas of pediatric, endodontic, and restorative dentistry and oral surgery. She hopes to continue her travels throughout her career.
When not perfecting people's smiles, Kost spends her free time with her baby girl and dog Pucci. She also enjoys working out and the occasional fancy dinner with her husband.
Matteo is a graduate of York University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Psychology, Cum Laude, in 2013. He went on to study dentistry at Trinity College, University of Dublin Dental School in Ireland and graduated in 2018. Attending an Irish university allowed Matteo to learn European dental techniques, to be combined with those used in North America.
Matteo continues to improve on his skill and knowledge by keeping up-to-date on new technology and research and attending educational hands-on practice sessions to offer the best possible care for his patients. He works under evidence-based treatments and develops customized treatment plans that offer the best possible results.
Aside from dentistry, Matteo has a passion for sports and plays soccer and ice hockey. He maintains a healthy lifestyle and continues to perform his daily physical activity regime.
