Andres Garcia

Andres earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Bryan College and works as support to the accounting staff of Staten CPAs. Andres came the United States from Mexico in 2000 and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He and his wife, Adelaida, like to travel and spend time with their families. They attend St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Andres also enjoys playing soccer in his spare time.

Betsy Mitchell

Betsy Mitchell is a 1981 Graduate of Murray County High School. She has been with Ed Staten CPAs for eight years. Betsy is responsible for all payroll clients and most bookkeeping clients. Betsy has 25 years experience in payroll and bookkeeping, with thirteen years experience in filing Payroll Tax Returns for clients with employees in multiple states. Betsy is also experienced in multiple state filings for Sales Tax Returns.

Brandon Brock

In the fall of 2017, Brandon will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in Accounting. He plans on obtaining his CPA license after college. He and his fiancé, Alexis, are members of Old Time Way Baptist Church in Chatsworth, Georgia, and they enjoy spending time with friends and family.

Courtney Polk Gleaton

Courtney Polk Gleaton is a graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School Tunnel Hill, GA in 1998. Courtney graduated with Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Floyd College in 2002. She worked full time as a dental hygienist before leaving in 2012 to join her family business. She has experience in customer relations, book keeping, and tax preparation. Courtney is looking forward to expanding her accounting experience with Staten CPAs. Courtney and her husband, Darren, have been married for more than 13 years, and have two children: a son, Christian; and a daughter, Havyn. She and her family are members of Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church.

Judy Staten

Judy Robertson Staten graduated from Northwest Whitfield High School in Dalton, Georgia in 1967. Judy has been working full time with Ed Staten since he started his firm in 1981. Judy Staten continues to assist part time when needed. Ed and Judy have shared forty-four wonderful and happy years together. They have two children, Robby Staten and Kristy Souther, both of whom are employed by the Ed Staten CPAs. Ed and Judy have five wonderful grandchildren; Carter, Elly, McKinley, Riley and Cole. Ed and Judy Staten attend Dawnville United Methodist Church.

Kristy Souther

Kristy Souther has been with Ed Staten CPAs since 1996, and has more than seventeen years experience in auditing, public and corporate accounting. As a tax planning professional, Kristy has experience and accounting expertise in providing comprehensive accounting services including individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit taxes. She has also been trained in corporate and government audits, compilations, and payroll tax and payroll services. In addition, Kristy has also participated in preparing annual returns for Employee Benefit Plans, and is an expert with accounting software and computerized accounting systems. Kristy and her husband, Mitch, have been happily married for more than seventeen years and have two children: a daughter, Elly, and a son, Riley. She and her family are members of Rock Bridge Community Church in Dalton, Georgia. Kristy is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership of Dalton/Whitfield program, and is also actively involved in several community organizations such as Dalton Junior Women's Club, and the Westwood Elementary PTO. Kristy is a 1990 graduate of Dalton High School, and attended Tennessee Technological University for two years. She then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) degree from Auburn University, and also earned a Masters of Professional Accounting degree from the State University of West Georgia.

Lucille Burchfield

Early experiences in retail and multi-corporate environments provided the groundwork for Lucille Burchfield's detailed knowledge of corporate structure and record keeping. Thirty-three years in public accounting has expanded Lucille's experience to include overseeing monthly and annual reporting requirements for organizations of all sizes. At Ed Staten CPAs, Lucille assists with consultations at the onset of operations for new clients, set up procedures and controls to monitor and safeguard corporate assets and expenditures, and ultimate preparation of annual corporate and individual returns. Lucille has worked independently, and in teams, on corporate audits and compilation and review of financial statements. Lucille has also been involved in eighteen annual governmental audits of Whitfield County, Georgia, along with its various departments and funds. Lucille was involved in four annual governmental audits of the city of Varnell, Georgia and its various departments. Lucille Burchfield is a graduate of Valley Point High School, Dalton, Georgia, and attended Dalton Junior College, Dalton, Georgia.

Yasmin Espinoza

Yasmin Espinoza is one of our newest staff members here at Staten CPAs. Yasmin is happily married to Luis Angel Espinoza. They both have three wonderful children, Abraham, Damian, and Aylany. Yasmin is from Mexico and was brought to the United States when she was about eight years old, and has since called Dalton, Georgia home. Yasmin received her High School Diploma in 2011. She attended Northwestern Technical College, and received her Paralegal Degree in 2012. She has several years of experience in clerical and administrative assistant.

Yesika Zamora

Along with performing bookkeeping tasks, Yesika assists with clerical work. She is one of our Spanish translators and is entrusted at having great interaction skills with all our clients. Yesika and her husband, Jesus, have been married for more than seven years. In early 2012, they welcomed their wonderful boy, Richar. Family is a big priority for Yesika, and they enjoy many outdoor activities together. Yesika graduated from Morris Innovative High School, and is looking forward to continuing her education.
