University of Dental Medicine was first established as College of Dental Medicine in Myanmar inthe year 1964... The main responsibility of the College was to produce basic dental surgeons who can efficiently provide dental treatment for Myanmar people. In addition it was also responsible for dental auxiliary programmes such as dental nurse school and dental technician school... Able to abide by general health policy laid down by the state and implement accordingly. capable of effective actions using the knowledge, skill and attitude for the preventive, curative, and rehabilitative oral health needs of the country.
