UVEI

Our Mission: UVEI prepares, inspires, and supports teachers and school leaders to improve the quality of education for learners in their classrooms, schools, and communities. As a graduate school of education, we do this by engaging reflective educators in developing their knowledge, understanding, and clinical practice for the benefit of their students and colleagues... UVEI started as a regional teacher training program, expanding over the years to add training programs for principals, curriculum directors, and literacy educators. Starting in 2010, UVEI launched the Upper Valley Graduate School of Education to offer masters degrees in education. In 2021, UVEI and UVGSE merged into a unified, graduate school of education, offering programs in teaching, educational leadership, and literacy education. UVEI also conducts collaborative research through the Barnes Initiative for Collaborative Learning, and offers open enrollment professional education opportunities to practicing educators..
