When Asher came to me he was done with labels. He together with Scooter Braun Projects wanted to a release that was 100% in their own control, so we ran a campaign which built up his mailing list from scratch and made his website the destination for all things Asher. We worked with merch and distribution partners to execute a full-fledged release with a fraction of the staff of a record label...
We wanted to give the fans something really special for April Fools Day. I decided to create a jazz cover of one of our metal band's tracks, including creating an entire release campaign for it.
