WAEMS is a Non-Taxing Governmental Authority that is owned, operated and ultimately responsible to the communities it serves. In order to provide quality services, WAEMS must be financially viable. Financial stability insures our ability, on a long-term basis; to continue serving the emergency care needs of the citizens who reside in the communities we serve... We are a nontaxable governmental authority created by the townships of Salem, Dorr, Leighton, Monterey, Hopkins, Wayland, Watson, Martin, Orangeville, Yankee Springs and the City of Wayland to provide for the pre-hospital needs of the citizens and visitors of Western Barry and Eastern parts of Allegan County...
