WSOG - Key Persons
Dr Hang Chau graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1995 and completed much of her obstetric and gynaecological training at the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne. She then worked in Darwin, Townsville, and for 12 months in Papua New Guinea before settling in Wodonga with her husband. She is also involved with teaching medical students from the University of NSW and supervising O&G Specialist trainees.
Hang's clinical interests include high risk obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery and all areas of general gynaecology
Dr Kathleen Braniff studied medicine at the University of Melbourne before specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology. She has worked in Melbourne, UK, Warrnambool and Mackay before moving back to the border region.
She has expertise in all areas of general obstetrics and gynaecology, including cervical and vulval disease, urinary and prolapse issues as well as menstrual and menopausal issues.
With a Masters of Clinical Research, she is committed to providing up to date and evidence based care, with a strong focus on patient education and supporting patient choice.
Kylie has been living and working as an obstetrician and gynaecologist in Northeast Victoria since 2018. Originally from Perth, she and her family moved to Wodonga to finish her training in 2016. She then spent a year in Ballarat gaining further experience in laparoscopic surgery and fertility care. Following this, she had a busy public and private practice in Wangaratta, before she and her family made the decision to return to Wodonga in 2022.
Kylie provides care for women across the breadth of general obstetrics and gynaecology, with interests in general obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery (including laparoscopic hysterectomy), fertility care, and cervical and vulval disease. She is actively involved in supervision of trainees in obstetrics & gynaecology, as well as the teaching of medical students.
She is passionate about encouraging women to prioritise their own health care needs, because so often women prioritise the needs of those around them above their own, which in the longer term can compromise quality of life & the ability to care for those most important.
Her interest is in general gynaecology with an emphasis on minimally invasive procedures, vulvar and cervical pathology, treatment of incontinence and prolapse as well as high-risk obstetrics. She believes in a holistic approach towards her patients and has a passion for teaching medical students and specialists in training. She lives with her family in Wodonga.
Dr Sue Ann Loh is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and completed her obstetric and gynaecology training at tertiary centres in Melbourne, including the Royal Women's Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women, and Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital. Notably, she spent an additional two years at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan developing advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopic gynaecological surgical skills.
Fluent in Mandarin, Dr Loh is committed to providing comprehensive and personalised care. Her special interest lies in the management of conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, and sexual health. Private obstetric care is not part of the service provided by Dr Loh.
Physiotherapist Imogen Batten has joined the WSOG team to provide women with support in clinical Pilates, ante- and post-natal health, pelvic pain and dysfunction. She is passionate about women's health, specialising in this area after working on maternity wards, in outpatients and incontinence clinics.
Imogen has travelled and worked extensively with various Australian sports teams, is a Pilates instructor and accredited in dry needling and enjoys spending her leisure time with family and keeping fit.
