Andrew Knott

Andrew Knott is a venture capitalist with years of experience in land assembly and residential land development. His decision to join the World Housing ‘Founder Group' stems from his core belief that we are all responsible, in part, for the well-being of others. Andrew, who recognizes the importance of equality, dignity, and respect for all people aligns deeply around World Housing's core value that ‘everyone deserves a home'. His background in land development along with an innovative approach to building communities will be instrumental in helping World Housing achieve its goal of housing 10,000 people by 2022.

Don McQuaid - Managing Director

Don is a serial entrepreneur who brings decades of experience in developing successful business relationships through his creation of several start-ups, including event production, digital broadcasting, and social media companies. After working with World Housing at its inception, helping to launch its social and digital media profile, Don visited Cambodia for a 'home gifting' and met Scott Neeson of the Cambodian Children's Fund in 2013. Don is excited to be working alongside lifetime friend Pete Dupuis as the Director of Business Development, and is passionate about building a sustainable social-business model for World Housing.

Hal Divine

Hal is an experienced entrepreneur, whose mentorship has played a guiding role in World Housing since the very inception of the idea. To honour Hal, Founder Pete Dupuis dedicated his Master's thesis, where the idea for World Housing was born and cultivated, in his honour.

Harry Wang

Harry has earned the rightful reputation as a world leader in the real estate industry. His company, Creator Marketing Company, is considered the preeminent marketer of the finest real estate projects in Asia. Harry has a passion for giving back; in 2010 he created a rice-giving program in Taiwan where excess rice produced by rural farmers was transferred to families in need. In 2012 Harry was recognized in Taiwan by being named "Entrepreneur of the Year".

Hunter Milborne

With over 36 years of experience, Hunter is well known for his entrepreneurial style, creative problem solving and innovative market penetration strategies.

Jeffrey Stone

Jeff is recognized as one of Hawaii's most innovative and successful businessmen. Jeff brings an unrivalled level of creativity, energy and business experience to every venture he gets involved with.

Laura Rowse

Laura Rowse is best known as a founding shareholder to lululemon athletica where she grew their manufacturing business to a million pieces a month. She is passionate about production, specializing in overseas sourcing and costing, expertise she is looking forward to sharing with the team. As a career woman and single mom, Laura understands the challenges of providing protective shelter, health and nutrition, and education to our children. She believes that through World Housing she will be the change she wants to see in the world.

Melissa Warkentin

Melissa Warkentin, came to us over a year ago with 5 years of public practice experience. She has a passion for details and meticulously handles our day to day finances. Melissa graduated from the BBA program at the University of the Fraser Valley in 2015 with a major in accounting.

Peter Dupuis - Founder

World Housing co-founder Peter Dupuis had already earned a worldwide reputation as a real estate entrepreneur and marketer when a chance meeting in 2009 with TOMS Shoes' founder Blake Mycoskie took his life in a radically different direction. Inspired by Blake's example and business model, Peter spent three years in a graduate program studying social entrepreneurship, modern philanthropy, slum housing and landfill communities. His work culminated in a successfully defended Masters thesis: "World Housing: A Blueprint for Creating Third World Bottom of the Pyramid Housing Supply Through a First World One-for-One Real Estate Gifting Model." In 2013, Peter and his business partner of 32 years, Sid Landolt, co-founded World Housing.

Richard Bell

Richard has practiced real estate and estate planning law for over 25 years. He is the founder of Bell Alliance Lawyers & Notaries Public based in Vancouver, BC and co-founder of Avesdo, in Toronto, Ontario. His passions include technology, helping others, his family and his dogs. In addition to World Housing, he supports a number of local charities and currently sits on the Board of the Small Housing B.C. and was past Chair of the Arts Club Theatre Company. In December 2015, Richard joined World Housing as an Ambassador and since has been instrumental in growing our donor family through his deep connections within the business community. As a Founder and member of the Board, Richard continues to be an inspiring leader of social change for World Housing.

Robert Foord

Rob is a true adventurer having traveled to most parts of the globe for international business and personal discovery. He leads Kal Tire, a multigenerational family business with a global reach and operations in Canada, South America, Africa and Australia. His unique understanding of how businesses successfully scale, operate and integrate into local customs provides a powerful perspective for World Housing.

Sam White

Sam joined World Housing in early 2018, and brings her passion and a strong belief that a group of passionate individuals with an innovative approach and strategies can change the world. Her love of travel has exposed her to the despair of poverty, and she truly believes that a home is at the root of transformation for families and communities. Sam is in charge of Brand and Business Partnerships for World Housing, and works with her team to develop co-operative philanthropic programs with businesses and individuals who become our World Housing Ambassadors. She loves the outdoors, traveling, sports, music and sharing family time.

Sid Landolt - Founder

Sid Landolt has an international reputation as a real estate innovator, strategic marketer and creative thinker in the design and sale of luxury high rise real estate. Sid is widely recognized as the co-architect of the real estate launch and the Limited Priority Reservation sales program. In 2013 Sid and his business partner Peter Dupuis co-founded World Housing. Sid brings the same passion and commitment to housing families living in slums as he does to his work in luxury high-rise projects.

Tina Tory

Tina Tory, founder of Merge CPA understands World Housing's needs and is an important part of our team of professionals who share their values and vision. Tina values community involvement on both local and international levels. In the past she has served as Treasurer on various not-for-profit boards. Currently she is actively involved in volunteering with the CPABC Financial Literacy program, leading seminars and learning activities to organizations across BC.

Tony Allard

Tony pursues for profit investment activities through his Vancouver based Hearthstone Investments which focuses primarily on real estate in Western Canada. Tony also pursues his philanthropic ambitions both locally (through education and safe housing for youth) and further afield. Tony spent time 25 years ago travelling in India where a growing need for the most basic safe shelter has stayed with him ever since. As a founder, Tony understands the power and potential of the World Housing model to make a significant and lasting difference wherever the need exists, both locally and globally.
