Dr. Emily H. Putney

Dr. Emily H. Putney is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in advanced surgical care of spinal pathology including but not limited to cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis, disc herniations, sciatica, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, deformity, post-laminectomy syndrome, failed back syndrome, congenital pathology through minimally invasive and traditional techniques from a variety of approaches. She attended medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine Of New York Institute Of Technology and graduated with Academic Honors in 2009. Dr. Putney started her training at the North Shore Long Island Jewish healthcare system in New York, and completed her Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she also served as Chief Resident. She performed her orthopaedic spine surgical fellowship at the world renowned Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas, where her training encompassed the latest innovative techniques in spinal surgery. Currently, Dr. Putney is a member of North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics. In St. Lucie and Martin county, she has pioneered a variety of new surgical spinal techniques including minimally invasive lateral lumbar approach. She has also been the recipient of multiple awards including outstanding paper with invitation to present at the Spine Technology and Educational Group Organization in 2016, Resident of the Year at Broward Health Medical Center of 2014 and the Achievement Award for Outstanding Scientific Paper of the Year for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics in 2013. Dr. Putney and her family enjoy spending time boating and fishing on our beautiful Florida waters. Coastal Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is excited to have Dr. Emily H. Gerald C. Shute

Job Titles:

Dr. Shute is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. His Fellowship training was accomplished at the University of Texas' Houston Health Science Center/ Baylor Medical Center. His training encompassed state-of-the-art procedures in joint replacements, arthroscopy, fracture care, and the treatment of foot, ankle, and knee disorders. Dr. Shute is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the Florida Orthopaedic Association. With over thirteen years of experience, Dr. Shute is available to provide quality care for all of your orthopaedic needs and is on staff at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health Systems, St. Lucie Medical Center, Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, and Tradition Medical Center.

Jeffrey Lazarus

Dr. Lazarus is a former team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers farm team. He was on the Board of Trustees for Care Net Pregnancy Services and Next Step Ministries and has volunteered for Volunteers in Medicine.

Keith E. Ingram

Dr. Keith Ingram is a Board Certified Pain Management Physician providing compassionate pain management intervention using state-of-the-art fluoroscopic guided procedures. Dr. Ingram completed his medical school training at University of Florida and his residency at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Ingram is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Florida Society of Anesthesiologists and International Anesthesiologists Research Society.

Paul J. Mondo

Dr. Mondo was formerly Chief of Surgery at St. Lucie Medical Center and served on the Board of Trustees for St. Lucie Medical Center. He is also a former Orthopaedic Consultant for the Los Angeles Dodgers farm team.

Roberto Lugo

Roberto Lugo is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine where he obtained a degree with honors in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He also completed a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Fellowship participating in the care of professional athletes. Dr Lugo is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with additional board certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He specializes in the care of sports injuries, cartilage preservation, and less invasive joint replacement. His research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has been presented at several Orthopaedic Society meetings. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. Dr. Lugo enjoys films, physical fitness, sketching and was previously a cartoonist. Dr. Lugo is married and has two children; he spends his free time enjoying family activities around the community.
