Bio Amanda Browne is an Advanced Registered Family Nurse Practitioner who joined our practice in October of 2018. She is originally from Vero Beach, FL but moved to Tampa to attend the University of Tampa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004. Later she went on to pursue nursing at Nova Southeastern University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. After spending several years at the bedside as a Registered Nurse caring for patients at a local hospital, she realized she wanted the ability to treat and manage her patient's overall health in a more all-encompassing manner, from infancy to elderly. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. Amanda is passionate and focused on teaching patients about maintaining a balance for optimal health. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Florida Nurse Practitioner Network. In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and boating or being outdoors with her husband and chocolate Labradors!

Bio Amanda was born and raised in Omaha, NE. She received her Associates Degree in Applied Science with honors and Certificate of Surgical Technology in 1998. She worked as a surgical technologist in the operating room for 10 years before deciding to pursue a career as a physician assistant. Her drive to become a physician assistant was to be able to get to know her patients better, educate, and care for them before and after surgery. She completed her Bachelors in Biology from Barry University in Miami, Florida in 2005. She received her Masters in Medical Science with Honors and Bachelors in Physician Assistant with Honors from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. She has worked as a physician assistant in orthopedics and spine since graduating. She joined Comprehensive Spine Institute in March 2016 and truly enjoys spending time with patients to educate them on their conditions. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA). In her free time she enjoys going to the beach with her husband and son.

Carissa Stone, M.D. is an Interventional Pain Physician with Comprehensive Spine Institute. Having a first-hand role model, seeing her mother work as a physician while growing up, Carissa Stone M.D. became attracted to the idea of being a physician. Her drive to help others, fuels continual learning and training within her field. She relates that same love of science to her current patients offering a cutting edge look into each case viewing each patient situation as a unique puzzle that she enjoys solving. Practicing pain management for over two decades now, Dr. Stone got her start in the field after beginning her residency in Anesthesiology at the University of South Florida. She later completed a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury and Rehabilitation at the James Haley VA. She chose the path of Anesthesia, because of the interventional procedures it has included in the diagnostic workups. Participates in Stim Wave peripheral nerve stimulator trials and implants and has had a poster presentation accepted at North American Neuromodulation Society annual meeting in Las Vegas, NV, and participates in clinical research with Clinical Research of West Florida, studying Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and recently special injection medications for epidural herniated discs. Dr. Stone cares about the totality of her patients' health, and not just the pain. Therefore, she has a holistic approach to treat the whole person. This includes integrating wellness and nutrition aspects of treatment for a patient, such as any weight loss and dietary changes as necessary, psychology and therapy recommendations. Dr. Stone places much importance on giving back to the community, volunteering with Alliance Defending Freedom and assisting in events Cornerstone Ministries whos' purpose is to benefit underprivileged kids. Her favorite activities to do in her free time are spending time with her family, preparing holiday meals and researching family ancestry.

Bio Danielle is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner who joined our practice in May of 2017. She is originally from Moosup, CT and moved to Florida in 2007 to pursue an education in nursing. She began her healthcare career working as a Patient Care Tech while enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing program at the University of South Florida. She graduated with her nursing degree in 2010 and worked as a pediatric nurse for 5 years in one of Tampa bay's local hospitals as a member of their Float Team and Emergency Department. Through her work as a Registered Nurse she realized that she not only wanted to evaluate the patients she cared for but she wanted the ability to also treat and manage their overall health. She enrolled at the University of Tampa in their Family Nurse Practitioner program and graduated with honors in 2015 with a Master of Science degree in Nursing. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Florida Nurse Practitioner organization. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, having fun on life's adventures with her husband, and spoiling her fur baby rotten.

Bio Dr. Andrew Bloomfield, M.D., is an Interventional Pain Physician dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients suffering from chronic pain. With a commitment to improving quality of life and restoring function, Dr. Bloomfield employs a multidisciplinary approach tailored to each patient's unique needs. Dr. Bloomfield earned his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv, graduating with honors. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center, NY, where he was awarded the Outstanding House Officer Award. He developed a keen interest in pain management, leading him to pursue specialized fellowship training in Pain Medicine at prestigious Duke University, NC. Throughout his career, Dr. Bloomfield has remained at the forefront of advancements in pain management. He is proficient in the latest interventional procedures, medication management techniques, and alternative therapies, such as medical acupuncture, ensuring his patients have access to the most effective treatments available. Dr. Bloomfield believes in a patient-centered approach to care, taking the time to listen to his patients' concerns and thoroughly explain their treatment options. He understands the impact that chronic pain can have on all aspects of a person's life and is dedicated to helping his patients achieve meaningful improvements in their pain and overall well-being. He is honored to be part of the Comprehensive Spine Institute and looks forward to serving the community with excellence and compassion.

Dr. Jon Kimball is a Board Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon who specializes in the treatment of patients suffering from chronic pain. From complex spine conditions to minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Kimball has proven his success as one of the area's top spine surgeons. Dr. Jon Kimball earned his medical degree at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He went on to the University of Florida to complete his orthopaedic surgical residency at Shands Hospital where he found his passion for spine surgery. To expand his higher education he completed fellowships with: UCLA Department of Neurosurgery with a focus on minimally invasive spine surgery, Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center with a focus on complex spine surgery and rehabilitation, and Triangle Orthopaedic Associates with focus on total joint arthroplasty. Dr. Kimball has been recognized by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery for his accomplishments. While in residency at the University of Florida, Dr. Kimball recognized the benefits of minimally invasive spine surgical techniques. Quicker recovery, less pain and higher patient satisfaction are what led him to dedicate his life to the advancement of minimally invasive spine surgery procedures. Through a series of thoughtfully selected postgraduate fellowships, Dr. Kimball became proficient in complex spine surgery techniques allowing him to translate his expertise into innovating minimally invasive procedures. This background of knowledge provides a higher understanding of the causes of a patient's chronic pain yielding better treatment options and future outcomes. Over the span of his career Dr. Kimball has taught residents, fellows and served as a consultant team physician for professional sports teams like the NBA New Orleans Hornets and the NFL New Orleans Saints. He has held leadership roles and contributed to multiple publications. He is a devoted husband and father, his proudest accomplishment. Dr. Jon Kimball's sincere disposition makes him a favorite among patients and co-workers. Dr. Kimball's treatment philosophy is to provide individualized care and compassion to each patient. He is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Mohit Bansal is a native of New York City. Dr. Bansal completed his medical school training at St. George's University School of Medicine, followed by his residency at New York Medical College, Manhattan. While in residency, he had the privilege of rotating with Dr. Scott Rodeo, Team Physician for the New York Giants. Dr. Bansal completed his fellowship at New Mexico Orthopedics Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine, and his internship at St. Luke's Hospital Roosevelt Hospital Center and St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center. As a fellow in New Mexico, he was one of the Team Physicians of the Albuquerque Isotopes, AAA affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. In addition, he performed exams on elite MMA fighters. Dr. Bansal is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In addition, he holds a subspecialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He has a passion for Sports Medicine and Sports Medicine related injuries, as he is also a Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Eckerd College Rugby. Dr. Bansal is also passionate about advancing medical education. He is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery in the NOVA Southeastern Orthopaedic Department. Dr. Bansal is an integral part of the teaching faculty and as such keeps current with literature and implements this in his every day practice. Dr. Bansal enjoys golfing, playing soccer, and spending time with his growing family.

Bio Dr. Willem Nel earned his medical degree at the University of Pretoria. He went on to the University of South Florida to complete his residency in Anesthesiology. He then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. Currently, he is double board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. In addition to specializing in pain, Dr. Nel has held the titles of Assistant Professor and Staff Anesthesiologist, Director of Pain Management Services, and Clinical Faculty at the University of South Florida. After working with the University of South Florida, Dr. Nel became the Director of Pain Services at Gulf to Bay Anesthesiology Associates. Over the course of Dr. Nel's career, he has helped train Fellows, Residents, Medical Students, and CRNAs. He has a passion for helping others and has chosen to spend the rest of his career focusing on improving patients quality of life.
