Dan Waterman is a founding Principal of designONE studio whose career portfolio ranges from hospitality design, restaurants and bars, high-rise multi-family, and master-planned resort communities. With over 25 years of practice on both the creative and technical side of hospitality design, Dan provides his clients with unique design solutions to achieve a memorable project experience. He specializes in new-build construction, renovations and additions, market repositioning and hotel re-branding. His ability to collaborate with the client and contractor during the design and construction phase, while paying close attention to the details has resulted in many successful projects.
A native of South Florida, Dan received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 1996. He is NCARB registered and a licensed architect in multiple states.
Dan strives for simplicity and great design in each project and believes that "great design is born of these two things".

Frank Trujillo is a founding principal at designONE studio, and has over 20 years of experience in designing, managing, and completing projects in the hospitality, food and beverage, office, mixed-use and multi-family industries. Frank's projects have ranged in size and complexity from new-build destination resorts to full-service hotels, as well as accomplishing major renovations and conversions to existing hotel properties.
Frank began his Architecture and Design career in South Florida as a member of a multi-disciplinary Architecture firm in Miami. He relocated to the Atlanta area shortly after receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Florida A & M University, became a registered Architect in the State of Georgia in 2006 and is currently licensed in more than 20 states.
Frank believes that there is a long-lasting feeling of achievement and pride when you develop a design from concept, see that idea realized in its physical form and not only utilized, but appreciated by others.

Jeff Connell is a founding principal of designONE studio with over 24 years of experience in the Hospitality Design industry designing and managing a multitude of projects ranging from new-build construction to complete renovation and re-branding projects. A former partner at Ai Group, Jeff has also been thoroughly involved on various special use projects such as golf clubhouses, resort condominiums and non-profit community centers.
Jeff began his Architecture and Design career in Atlanta in 1998 after his graduation from The University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. While at Cincinnati, he participated in the Cooperative work/study program which included professional time in the Architecture and Construction industry in both Baltimore, MD and Philadelphia, PA. He holds an active Architectural License with the State of Georgia.
Lela Richardson, NCIDQ, who has designed acclaimed hospitality interiors for the last 20 years, has joined designONE studio as Design Principal in the firm's Atlanta office, where she leads the interior design practice. She brings vast experience in the hospitality industry where she has crafted award-winning guest experiences for both boutique properties and iconic hotel brands, including Four Seasons, Renaissance, the Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, InterContinental, and more.
