The European Supervisor Education Initiative (ESE) was established in 2009 as an alliance of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), Deutsche Bundesbank, Oesterreichische Nationalbank and Goethe Business School at Goethe University in Frankfurt. Since then, ESE has grown constantly. The present members are German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), Deutsche Bundesbank, Oesterreichische Nationalbank, Banque centrale du Luxemburg, Czech National Bank, Bank of Slovenia and De Nederlandsche Bank... ESE is committed to high level training based on uniform standards to enhance financial supervisors' knowledge and skills and to promote a common European supervisory culture and practice. The initiative offers a modular training programme for banking, insurance and securities and markets supervisors, financial stability analysts and economists from central banks and supervisory authorities in Europe.
