FARMSTEAD VETERINARY MEDICAL CENTER - Key Persons

Dr. J.C. Wise was born and raised in Jasper, AL. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in 1995 He received his Doctorate from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Dr. Wise has practiced veterinary medicine for 20 years and has a strong interest in allergies, internal medicine and surgery. He has joined our FVMC team as a full-time associate. He and his wife have 2 children and 3 grand-children. He enjoys Auburn football and all things mechanical.

Dr. Jeremiah Alexander grew up in Jasper, AL and attended Curry High School. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master of Agriculture. He received his Doctorate from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 where he returned back to his hometown. Dr. Alexander opened Farmstead Veterinary Medical Center in 2011 and has a big vision for the future of his practice. He also serves as a military veterinarian in the Army Reserves. When not at work, Dr. Alexander enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors. Dr. Alexander loves the challenge of veterinary medicine and seeing his patients happy and well.

Dr. Mark Pelham was born and raised in the Birmingham area and returned to practice medicine there in 1994 after practicing for one year in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Pelham received his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Dr. Pelham has been active in organized veterinary medicine serving as President of the Jefferson County Veterinary Medical Association, Chair of the Alumni Advisory Council at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, and as a Board Member for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. He is a current member of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Pelham has served on several Boards for Auburn University including President of the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club, Auburn University Scholarship Foundation and the Auburn University Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is married to Tiffany, who also graduated from Auburn University and has a son Connor. Dr. Pelham is a Major in the United States Army. He has served as team lead for a Veterinary Services Support Team under the 3rd Medical Deployment Support Command and is currently serving as a Functional Specialty Team Veterinarian under the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command.
