Dr. Richard Wood

Dr. Wood is the third of six children from a small town in Price, Utah. He studied at the University of Utah and received early admittance to the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. His training continued with an externship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland as well as Capital Eye Consultants in Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Wood graduated with distinction in 2000 from the New England College of Optometry where he was recognized with the National CEA (Clinical Excellence Award). After graduation he began practicing Optometry in Dulles, Virginia. During his time spent in Virginia, he and his wife, Grace, visited Gilbert, Arizona. From that visit he and Grace knew that Gilbert was the place they wanted to raise their family. In August of 2001 he moved to Gilbert and began practicing with a large, well-established firm. After a few years, Dr. Wood felt he could better serve his patients within a private practice setting. He began his journey with Gilbert Family Eye Center in May of 2006 and has loved every second of it. Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children, Alex, Addison, Aidan, and Aubrey. He also enjoys playing golf, reading, family road trips, and music.

Dr. Tylor Pravongviengkham

Tylor Pravongviengkham, OD is an Arizona born native who graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During his time there in undergrad he participated in volunteer work that gave back to the community, attending health fair events, blood drives, and canned food drives. Tylor then went to graduate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in May of 2021. Where he took additional courses that emphasized in contact lens, and practice management. He gained additional work experience in New Jersey, Maine, and Pennsylvania working in disease-based clinics, veterans affairs, and Hospital clinics. He is also a proud member of the American Optometric Association. He is one of the first Laotian doctors in Arizona. On his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, and spending extensive time exploring Arizona. He is an avid fisherman and hunter who loves conservation of wildlife. Tylor has a genuine personality and has a passion for learning, as well as, caring for others.
