Historic Design Consulting was founded in 2007 by Mark Johnston in Vadnais Heights, MN. Mark is a member of the Minnesota Society of Architectural Historians and the Association of Preservation Technology and meets the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for History and Architectural History. He has a B.A. and M.A. in History with a certificate in Historic Preservation. Mark has a particular interest in the 19th century building trades and does much of his restoration work using authentic, 19th century hand tools, materials and techniques...
