J.R. THARPE TRUCKING

J.R. Tharpe Trucking Company was established in 1971 by James and Ann Tharpe. The Tharpe family continued to operate and grow the company for the next fifty years. In 2022, the company was acquired by the Jones family of Richmond, Virginia with the goal of continuing the legacy of the Tharpe family. Today the fleet operates over 125 trucks and serves Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.
