Market Cross Pub and Brewery was established in 1994 to bring the English pub life to downtown Carlisle. Jeff and JoAnne Goss researched Carlisle, PA and found that it is the sister city to Carlisle, England. At the center of Carlisle, England lies Market Cross Square which gave the name Market Cross Pub to the establishment. Market Cross was created to bring people from all backgrounds and places to one cozy pub to share a fresh pint and enjoy homemade comfort food for any occasion. In 2002 Market Cross expanded to include an on-site Brewery that produces roughly 15 styles of English ales and lagers throughout the year. You can find Market Cross Brewery on tap exclusively at the pub. In 2017 Jeff and JoAnne's daughter Ashleigh took ownership to keep Market Cross around for many years to come.
