Dr. Michelle L. Cantu

Dr. Michelle L. Cantu graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Cantu completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. She served as co-chief resident during her fellowship training. Dr. Cantu has been practicing psychiatry for over 5 years. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., a member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, Bexar County Medical Society, and Bexar County Psychiatric Society. Dr. Cantu is a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, watching movies, camping, attending church, and playing with her children.

Jennifer Hughes

Jennifer Hughes, MSN, PMHNP-BC has over 10 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She started her nursing education at Lamar State College in Orange, Texas, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and she went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing at UTHSCSA and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner License. In addition to providing direct patient care, Jennifer Hughes, RN, PMHNP-BC also serves as an adjunct instructor for Galen College of Nursing and clinical preceptor for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.

Rhiannon Soukup

Rhiannon Soukup, MSN, PMHNP-BC began her journey of wanting to help people when she initially got a Bachelor's in Psychology from Sonoma State University in California. She then continued on to nursing school and graduated from Palomar College. After graduating, she was accepted into Tri City Medical Center's new graduate nursing program and started working night shifts on their Behavioral Health Unit. She then graduated from Walden University with a Master's in Nursing and obtained her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner License. Rhiannon Soukup, PMHNP-BC has been practicing psychiatric nursing for 6 years. She ran mental health, anxiety, and schizophrenic therapy and support groups online in Hawaii during the COVID pandemic and is a member of the American Nurses Association. Rhiannon is a military vet's wife and a mother to the sweetest boy. She has lived in Hawaii and in Japan and is originally from California. Her hobbies include painting, spending time with family, and playing with her Labrador, who you will see often hanging around the office.
