On March 1st, 2025, we are bringing together many eras of Detroit Techno and beyond to celebrate Anthony "Shake" Shakir with a benefit to help improve his life. For far too long Shake has been in long term care for his multiple sclerosis (MS), which has kept him from doing what he loves most, and how he made such an impact on the world - his DJing and visionary music production. The music of Anthony "Shake" Shakir has had such a lasting impact precisely because he saw beyond boundaries and expressed a true iconoclastic spirit that is simultaneously purely Detroit and universal.
