MSHN is one of 10 public specialty behavioral health managed care entities known as "Pre-Paid Inpatient Health Plans" (PIHPs). Over the ten years of our existence, we have recognized five key areas for success: People, Partners, Communities, Employees, and effective collaboration across all we do. This impact report highlights only a few of our key accomplishments in these areas... On January 1, 2014 Mid-State Health Network (MSHN) became the new Medicaid Managed Care Organization for a portion of Michigan's behavioral health services. MSHN and its provider network are responsible for maintaining an adequate service delivery system for persons with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness, Serious Emotional Disturbances, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Disorders...
