We believe in community. In 2003 we expanded our corporate purpose to benefit the residents of the entire City of Malden, not just those in the Oak Grove neighborhood. Oak Grove Improvement Association was revitalized - as of 2003, OGIA was incorporated as a Massachusetts public charity as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the IRS tax code... Oak Grove Improvement Association is a non-profit dedicated to the betterment and well-being of the citizens of Malden, MA. We produce events to raise awareness, entertain, educate, and assist Maldonians and other local non-profits... We are dedicated to the support, development, and advancement of the residents of the City of Malden. OGIA's purpose is broad in spectrum, but focuses on promoting our community. Some of OGIA's goals, and subsequent activities, include community beautification projects (rejuvenation of the Oak Grove Community Building, beautification of Lincoln Commons), student scholarships, and the annual Harvest Moon..
