OPHTHALMIC SURGEON - Key Persons


DR ANINE KRITZINGER

Dr Kritzinger attended the University of Pretoria where she graduated with MBChB. She specialised in Ophthalmology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and obtained a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology degree. She worked as a consultant at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital as well as McCord Provincial Eye Hospital for several years and ran the ocular inflammation subspecialty service. Dr Kritzinger currently serves on the senate of the College of Medicine of South Africa. She is an Honorary Clinical Fellow of the School of Clinical medicine of the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her special interests in ophthalmology are cataracts, glaucoma and ocular inflammation.

DR ANTHONY ZABOROWSKI

Dr Zaborowski obtained an MBBCh degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, specialised in Ophthalmology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and did a fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology, squint surgery and general ophthalmology at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. He holds a post-graduate diploma in cataract and refractive surgery from the University of Ulster. He has authored 10 internationally peer reviewed scientific articles and is the co-author of the book ‘Clinical Ophthalmology Companion'. His special interests in ophthalmology are cataract and laser refractive surgery, glaucoma and immunological conditions of the eye.

DR GARRY ROSE

Dr Rose went to the University of Cape Town where he graduated MB ChB. He did postgraduate work in a number of disciplines and after a few years in General Practice studied Ophthalmology at the University of Natal, graduating with a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 1986. After holding consultant posts in RK Khan Hospital and the MBS Hospital in Johannesburg he entered private ophthalmic practice in Durban in 1988. His interests in ophthalmology are primarily cataract and glaucoma.
