OFA LEVEL 3

OFA level 3 or occupational first aid level 3 is the most comprehensive first aid course offered through worksafe BC. It is a 72 hour course that covers everything from the administrative responsibilities of a first aider in the workplace to treatment of almost any sudden medical emergency... This 72 hour occupational first aid course is typically completed within one full week of 9 am to 5 pm courses, Monday to Friday. Included in the course is cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED's). Candidates in this OFA level 3 course will learn to treat victims of cardiac arrest and entering ventricular tachycardia or fibrillations. With proper AED training OFA level 3 candidates will learn to recognize and treat these symptoms. The course curriculum is a exhaustive list of almost any first aid emergency that can occur in the wilderness or in the workplace.
