Dr. Alpa Patel

​​​​​​​Dr. Patel graduated from the University of California in Irvine, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She received her M.D. at Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine and completed her Preliminary Medicine internship at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco, CA. Dr. Patel completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and her fellowship in comprehensive ophthalmology at the prestigious Jules Stein Institute at UCLA. Dr. Patel's professional memberships and other certifications include being a diplomate at the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the California Medical Association, California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Orange County Society of Ophthalmology, and Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Patel also holds several leadership positions, including being a member of the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, a Course Monitor on the Communication Committee at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Past President at the Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology. She is also proud to serve as Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at UCLA, Jules Stein Institute. Adding to her specialty expertise in numerous procedures including Glaucoma Surgery, Premium Refractive Cataract Surgery, Oculoplastic Surgery Laser, and Vision Correction, Dr. Patel completed advanced fellowship training in Comprehensive Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Institute. Originally a native of Southern California, Dr. Patel grew up in Lake Forest. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, cooking, scrapbooking, and needlecraft such as crocheting and knitting.

Dr. George Salib

In his free time, Dr. Salib enjoys the many family activities that Orange County offers with his wife and three children. "It's all about helping our patients to maximize their vision and living their lives to the fullest," says Dr. George Salib, a specialist in cataract and LASIK surgery who is interested in multifocal lens implantation (lifestyle lenses that allow vision at various distances). Dr. Salib is a nationally recognized expert and leader in ophthalmology, frequently lecturing and educating fellow doctors nationwide. He has published numerous articles in the ophthalmic literature and has written and edited several book chapters. Dr. Salib is an excellent ophthalmic surgeon. He graduated from UCLA for his premedical training, received a Master's degree at Georgetown University, and then graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. His ophthalmology training was at King-Drew Medical Center, a UCLA - affiliated residency program in Los Angeles, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Salib further specialized in advanced surgical techniques during a one-year fellowship at the prestigious Tulane University in New Orleans under the guidance of some of the top surgeons in the country. Dr. Salib is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCI and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. George Salib is a leading cataract specialist and top ophthalmic surgeon in California. ​​​​​​​An alumnus of UCLA, Georgetown University, and University of Wisconsin Medical School, he received ophthalmology training at King-Drew Medical Center, a residency program affiliated with UCLA, and followed a fellowship in advanced surgical techniques at Tulane University, New Orleans. Besides cataract treatments, Dr. Salib is also experienced in multifocal lenses, laser eye treatments, Glaucoma, corneal transplants, macular degeneration, Comprehensive eye care, Laser-assisted cataract surgery, Dry eye and pterygium surgery. Dr. Satvinder Gujral

Dr. Satvinder Gujral is a board-certified ophthalmologist and clinical professor at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute. She has been practicing ophthalmology all over the world for over 20 years, during which she has performed various eye procedures, volunteered in numerous camps, and trained, researched, and lectured on the latest innovations in eye care. After receiving her ophthalmology degree from M.P. Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, India, Dr. Gujral pursued rotating internships, residencies, and fellowships at prestigious institutions in both India and the United States, receiving numerous accolades. She completed her training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California, specializing in the medicinal, refractive, and surgical treatment of glaucoma.
