Catherine Konwisarz - Chief Legal Officer, Secretary

Catherine Konwisarz joined the company in 2023 as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary with nearly 20 years of legal experience within the energy sector, including power and utilities, oil and gas, renewables, and engineering and construction services. Prior to joining RS, Catherine was General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer at National Energy Services Reunited (NASDAQ: NESR), a technology-focused international oilfield services company. Prior to NESR, she served as Assistant General Counsel for Marathon Oil Company (NYSE: MRO), an international exploration and production company, where she was responsible for Conventional (all facets of international and offshore assets), Acquisitions & Divestitures, and US Operations (including Marketing, Royalties, IP, and Global Supply Chain). Catherine began her career at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, a full-service global law firm, where she practiced in the Corporate/M&A and Energy groups. She serves on the boards of three nonprofit organizations, supporting US military veterans transitioning to civilian life, women who work on the water, and underprivileged families that require lifesaving fetal care. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, and two Masters of Law from the University of Houston Law Center, one in Tax Law and the other in Energy Law.

Christopher Micklas - CFO

Christopher Micklas joined the company in August 2022 as Chief Financial Officer with more than 32 years of finance and operations experience in a variety of industries including the Energy, Oil & Gas, and Manufacturing sectors. Most recently, Christopher served as Chief Financial Officer for Nacero Inc., an environmentally focused renewable oil and gas company. Prior to Nacero, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the Houston Wire & Cable Company (Nasdaq: HWCC) after holding the same role with Par Pacific Holdings (HYSE:PARR) a company with refining, logistics & distribution, marketing & trading, and E&P assets. Christopher began his career at General Electric across multiple senior leadership roles in finance and business development and spent 7 years at Shell Oil Company in Pennzoil/Quaker State, subsequently Shell Oil Company Downstream, in senior finance roles in marketing, refining, logistics and trading. He later became Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of the privately held manufacturing business Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions. Christopher holds a BS in Finance from Siena College in Loudonville, New York.

David Takash - Chief Commercial Officer

David Takash joined the company in March 2022 as Chief Commercial Officer with more than 30 years of experience in the Energy and Electric Utilities Market Sectors. David has a track record of developing and leading high-performance Sales and Commercial teams that have delivered outstanding results for revenue and profit growth as well as customer satisfaction. Prior to joining RS, David has held Commercial Leadership roles with EN Engineering, Worley, Babcock & Wilcox, Gamesa Wind US, General Electric, Siemens, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation. David has a Bachelor or Mechanical Engineering and Certificate of Energy Business Strategy from The Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Certificate from the Advanced Management Program from the IESE Business School. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Don Lowry - Chairman

Don Lowry became Chairman of the RS Board of Directors in December 2020. In addition to serving as Board Chair, Don is the Chair of the People & Governance committee of the Board. Don retired in 2013 as president and CEO of EPCOR Utilities Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was Chairman of Capital Power Corporation (CPX.TO), a publicly traded company formed when EPCOR spun off its generation business in July 2009, until he retired and stepped down in 2021. Don serves on the board of directors of Alectra Inc. and is Chair of the Development and Investment Committee. He is also a director of Stantec (STN.TO), where he is Chair of the Board's Social Responsibility and Safety Committee. In 2011, Don was named Alberta Business Person of the Year by Alberta Venture magazine and, in January 2014, was named Alberta Resource Person of the Year for 2014 by the Alberta Chamber of Resources. Don holds a Bachelor of Commerce (honors) and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Manitoba, and he is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program and the Banff School of Management. Don obtained his Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D) in January 2016 from the Rotman School of Business. In 2020, Don was awarded an ICD Fellowship Award, the highest distinction corporate directors in Canada can achieve based on their contributions to Canadian enterprises through governance leadership. He has more than 30 years of industry experience in the utilities, telecommunications, and power generation sector.

Ed Rushing - COO

Ed Rushing joined the company in June 2023 as Chief Operations Officer with more than 30 years of executive experience in Business and Operations. Ed has extensive background in manufacturing, business, and operations across North/South American, Europe and Asia. Ed has deep expertise in driving a continuously improving safety culture as well as supply chain, strategic sourcing, and cost management. He has led several new product developments using Lean manufacturing and market penetration analysis. Throughout his career he has lived in many parts of the United States and has had worldwide responsibility for operations in many cultures. Ed has an affinity for process improvement and driving KPI/metric implementations across various manufacturing systems and ERPs. Ed's portfolio background includes product lines that span from complex composite aircraft structures, multi-million per month tier one consumer electronics thru his most recent experiences in engineered to order heavy metal products for large Industrial OEMs Plants. He has led mergers and acquisitions through his career and has the background to integrate complex engineering and business systems. Prior to joining RS, Ed served in several operational and business leadership positions at major US Fortune 500 companies. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.

George Kirby - CEO

George Kirby joined the company in 2021 as Chief Executive Officer with more than 25 years of global operating, investment, capital markets, and regulatory experience within the energy sector including power and utilities, renewables, offshore oil and gas, engineering and construction services, and product manufacturing. Prior to joining RS, George was President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director at Ocean Power Technologies (NYSE: OPTT), an ocean-energy and intelligence technology company focused on defense and security, offshore oil and gas, science and research, and the offshore wind industry. Prior to Ocean Power Technologies, George held senior leadership positions at AECOM, Leidos, AMSC, and GE focused on sales, business development, engineering, and project finance and development. He previously served on the board of Mystic Aquarium/Sea Research Foundation, a world leader in marine mammal research. George has a B.Sc. degree in aerospace engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA from Penn State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas, a certified Six Sigma black belt, and has been granted several patents in nuclear steam turbine technology.

Joel Tennison - Chief Legal Officer

Joel Tennison joined RS in 2008 and currently serves the company in the capacities of Vice President and General Counsel. His professional background includes the practice of corporate and securities law, marketing experience with technology companies and equity research for a Canadian investment dealer. Joel is passionate about how intelligent market identification and segmentation for technically differentiated product and service offerings drive long-term business sustainability and profitability. Joel brings a proven capability to lead teams, make high quality, timely assessments under pressure and convey difficult decisions and negative information diplomatically to stakeholders, including Board directors, employees, suppliers, customers, and market channel partners. Joel holds degrees in business (University of Alberta) and law (University of Calgary) and has been an active member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2007.

John Higgins

John Higgins joined the Board of RS in 2019. He most recently served nine years as President of the Utility Services Group of MasTec, a Fortune 500 infrastructure business and NYSE-listed firm. He was responsible for a stand-alone US$1 billion business with more than 5,000 employees serving the construction, engineering, and maintenance needs of the electric power, natural gas, and telecommunications industries nationwide. Prior to this role John was Senior Vice President of Operations and a Regional President for InfrastruX Group, a US$800 million energy infrastructure business. John started his career as a lieutenant and platoon leader in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, from Harvard Business School. John is also a director of SAM Companies, a leading geospatial and engineering services firm to the utility, transportation, and energy industries.

Karen Novak

Karen Novak joined the company in February 2022 as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining RS, Karen was the Senior Director of Human Resources and Administration at Ocean Power Technologies, and previously held senior leadership positions at William Grant & Sons, Kerry Group, Skanska, and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Karen has a B.Sc. degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Penn State University. Her history of success in human resources is directly related to building strong cultures, developing innovative HR initiatives to restructure processes/programs and focusing on people development. She is a certified Lominger Voices 360 Coach and a practitioner of the Lominger 9 box model for talent assessment.

Kim Ernzen

Kim Ernzen is President of Naval Power at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a business of Raytheon Technologies. Ernzen's team provides the U.S. and its global allies in the maritime domain with sensors, command and control, and precision weapon solutions to protect allied ships and sailors around the world. Prior to Raytheon Company's merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020, Ernzen served as Vice President of Air Warfare Systems at Raytheon Missiles Systems. Before that, she served as Vice President of the Land Warfare Systems product line and as Vice President of Operaions for the business. Ernzen currently serves on the Board of Directors for Raytheon Canada and Women In Line Leadership (WILL Rise). She previously served on the Boards of Tucson Values Teachers, the Wichita Children's Home and the Junior League of Wichita. Ernzen also serves on Wichita State University's National Advisory Council and the College of Engineering Advisory Board. She is a member of the Society of Women's Engineers and is an executive diversity champion at Raytheon Missiles & Defense. Ernzen holds bachelor's and master's degrees in aeronautical engineering, and an executive MBA, from Wichita State University.

Scott Holmes - CTO

Scott Holmes joined RS in July 2019 as Director, Crossarm Business with more than 25 years of experience in composite product development, engineering, and operations management. Throughout his career, Scott has been passionate about composites, which began as an Alcoa Fellow while at University of Delaware's Center for Composite Materials. With progressive engineering and program management assignments at aerospace global leader The Boeing Company, Scott created transformative manufacturing technologies and synthesized many patented composite solutions. Thereafter, further senior management roles held within two unique small business ventures fueled his entrepreneurial spirit, which Scott found aligned well with his family traditions. These experiences culminated in 2008 with the launch of Utility Composite Solutions, a venture founded by Scott, to bring a rapid assembly modular utility pole to market, designed to serve urgent replacement and difficult access applications. Scott was appointed Chief Technology Officer of RS in January of 2021.

Stefan O. Erasmus

Stefan O. Erasmus is Chief Executive Officer of the Werklund Family Office, a single-family office preserving the legacy of one UHNW family, managing their financial, personal and philanthropic affairs. He is responsible for all aspects of the group of companies that manage the family's wealth and investments, including significant holdings in direct private equity and venture capital. Stefan has personally led the acquisition and divestiture of numerous public and private companies, involving companies in North America, Europe and China. He has also stepped into various interim executive management positions for portfolio companies. Prior to joining the WFO in 2011, Stefan was Managing Director of RGP, a publicly listed global consulting firm [NASDAQ:RGP]. A former executive for an independent power producer, he has also led a national electronic integration company, among other senior leadership roles. After starting his career in the legal profession, he then worked in Europe, North and South America providing assurance and consultative services to clients in a wide array of industries. Stefan graduated from Manchester University, England and Bourgogne University, France with a Bachelor of Laws in English and French Law and has completed executive programs at Harvard University in Negotiation and Leadership. He is also a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and Fellow Chartered Accountant in England and Wales. He is a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA certificant), holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and has sat on the board of many charitable, private and public companies. He is also an alumnus of Calgary Inc. Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 and was awarded the 2019 Alberta Family Enterprise Advisor of the Year.

Steven Kantowitz

Steven Kantowitz is a Partner at Energy Impact Partners (EIP), where he focuses on growth and private equity transactions across the clean energy landscape. He joined EIP in 2022 after nearly 10 years at Warburg Pincus, where he invested in a wide range of energy businesses. Prior to Warburg Pincus, Steven spent two years in the energy investment banking group at Credit Suisse, advising clients on M&A and financing activities. Steven holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, and a BS in Finance and Economics from NYU Stern.
